The SA VO Awards

The South African Voiceover Awards have been developed to help celebrate and honour the tapestry of voice artists across different cultures and languages. We hereby encourage you to enter the awards. There are various categories to fit in with the
level of diversity that every artist is currently at.

  • Recognizing the voices that bring stories to life.
  • Showcasing South Africa’s top-performing voices.
  • Promoting Industry standards and Inclusivity in the media.

Founded by The Voiceover Factory, these awards are a huge milestone for our industry. This platform enables us to give recognition to the exceptionally talented voices we’ve been listening to for years. Our categories range from commercial performances, audiobook narrations, e- learning & multilingual performances, highlighting the impact these voices have in our daily lives.

The inaugural ceremony will take place on Saturday, 04th October 2025 from 18h00 PM till late, in Johannesburg Sandton, bringing together the finest voices our industry has heard for a prestige night of celebration.

Best Commercial Voiceover Performance – TV

Honoring veteran voice artists who have made significant contributions to the South African voiceover industry for at least 30 years.

Eligibility: Industry veterans (30+ years)

Best Voiceover Demo

Voice Artist with a recognizable performance for radio station imagining, including jingles, & show promos. Artists must exude high levels of performance, reading and breathing techniques and emotional connection to the script.

Eligibility: Community radio station voices
Entry Period: April 2024 – September 2025

Best Indigenous Language Voiceover Performance

Voice artists with an exceptional performance in promotional content that effectively communicates the intended message.

Best Commercial Voiceover Performance – Radio

Best Audiobook Narrator
Voice Artist with a recognizable performance for radio station imagining, including jingles, & show promos. Artists must exude high levels of performance, reading and breathing techniques and emotional connection to the script.

Vocal Coach with an excellent and proven track record of coaching work done in the voiceover industry, including a brief background of some success stories of their artists trained.
